hi! need help in buying a netbook!

Hello!
i'm a student and i am looking for a netbook 10 inch-12 max.
i have 2 basics needs: very long battery life! the longer -the better.
and a decent sound ( i have a 17 inch toshiba with terrible sound which is almost not possible without loudspeakers- very annoying)

Be careful with the lowest end netbooks if you want decent sound. I have seen low end Asus Eeepc where only 1 speaker has been included in order to cut costs. Also they tend to use only 1 jack that is usable as a headphone output OR a mic input.

Even those with 2 speakers probably aren't going to have great sound as the speakers tend to be really tiny with little bass output and insufficient amplification to overcome ambient noise so you might consider using headphones with any netbook in order to improve the sound quality.

Most all netbooks have low sound quality. It's why they are so cheap.

The ASUS Eee are well made. Maybe the older models did that. But not recent.

What is your budget?
