That's not really a problem

Actually that's a good thing, because that CPU is has Hyper-Threading Technology in it. (A virtual core)

wow, it means that my little Atom has a bit more punch than my (used-to-be) mighty P4 2.8 ...

but it seems that I'm stuck with 1 GB RAM, but this is not the end of the world since other PCs I've worked with also run with 1 GB RAM and they have no problems with it..

I don't know for sure.. you'll have to benchmark it or something to check.
