Smile Asus 1008HA upgrade

I have an Asus 1008HA that I bought around October last year and my hard drive died, so I have to buy a new one. I'm actually a newbie when it comes to the insides of my Netbook, so I don't know if there are different sizes of hard drives and if some work and if some don't. I tried googling it but I only found the hard drive that is already installed so don't really have a clue. I'm also thinking of buying some more ram because it only has 1 Gb and I'm planning to install Windows 7 ones it's running again but again I don't know much about it. What I have found is that it is DDR2 and that it should be SO-DIMM (with 200 pins). Is there a maximum speed the computer supports?

I really need to know cause I'm not from the US and I'm trying to buy one by internet and bring it to my country so if I buy the wrong parts I can't return them.

Thanks in avance!!!

I own an ASUS 1005HA. So I know what you are talking about.

The hard drive, I think is a 2.5 SATA HDD. I have never opened mine to find out. That is common amongst netbooks/laptops.

You need this kind of RAM: - G.SKILL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model F2-5300CL5S-2GBSQ
I believe the limit is 2GB on there, there is only one RAM slot at the bottom. (I know the link is for US, but to give you an idea)

Glad to be of service!
