VBS Message box question?

I'm coding a vbs virus for educational purposes and I want it to display message boxes but I only want certain ones to be displayed on certain dates. Any year any time. I just want certain message boxes to be displayed on certain months and days for example the first of January. Can someone help? Thanks.

Get date, extract month and day. Use IF statements to determine if the month and day match the month and day you want to display the message for and if a match, display the message box.
