Pandora radio station concept

Hey there,

Could anyone explain to me the concept behind Pandora's online radio? I am very interested in finding out how they manage to manipulate music files by using Javascript without the need for other media plugins. Could something like Pandora be achieved by simply using jQuery and PHP?

That looks very interesting, unfortunately the podcast link no longer exists.

everything i read says pandora's using flash to play the music. you could uninstall flash and reload pandora player to confirm
