learn c programming

I am wanting to learn C programming. Do I need to go school for this or I can learn at home. If I can that what is the best way? books,web? do I need special software?

You can definately learn it on your own. I would recommend you buy some books and get something to drink and sit down and read.

Anyway, learn C on your own... if you want java, though, I recommend a class (no pun intended )

i would recommand you practice C as well after reading Tuto and arcticles on C. i mean, install a prog like DevC++ or VC++ and test applications on it.

Do u know where to get the tools to test the application? i got turbo C++ 4.5, but not very good running on my Win xp Pro.
