I'm in a class for school right now and we're writing a program in Excel VBA, and I've never really programmed before, so this is confusing. The question is "Why acn we store the number of hours worked as an integer, but not the annual salary or money made today?". In the assignment, we have to put in the number of hours worked and annual salary, and it spits out money made today. Does the integer designation mean that only whole numbers are stored?

Yes, to show decimal places usually the variable declared would be of the type "double" instead of "integer". Integer will never store anything but whole numbers.
