Hello all,

I need to learn XML for work. I am fairly new to programming - I am self-taught in SQL but mostly work in Excel at work. However, management has asked me to work with a team that is the architect for a new system they would like to use. To work on that team, I'll need to develop an understanding of the XML language and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with it or could point me to some good resources. I did a quick Google search and found a few links that looked promising but wanted to see what everyone here would recommend, as well.

Also, is learning XML difficult compared to other languages? I would greatly appreciate anyone's advice or suggestions. As always, thank you so much for your help!

XML doesn't "do" anything on it's own, it's just a way of structuring data. Learning XML conceptually and syntactically is pretty much a 10 minute job but the important (and often complicated) thing is the data.

Unfortunately XML is pretty horrible so I have sympathy for you.
