good java text editor....

Hey i was wondering if you could suggest a few free java text editors for me. thanks much!

I use vi.. The one I am using was modified by Watcom slightly. It's available online somewhere...... Even if you can't find this particular variant, I suggest u check out "vi" in general.

There's this one editor called BlueJ. It's what my Java Class uses... if only i can find it

http://www.bluej.org/download/download.html. This is a good one if you want to make things easy.

www.context.cx is a good overall one if you want to use more than just Java.

u can find agood java editor at www.drjava.org it's really good i have tried bluej ,eclipse ,sun one studio 4 community edition all this demand some professionalism and for a beginner like i found drjava really easy

Just as an editor, JEdit is pretty good. Check the above sites, you may find somrthing you preffer. Personally I use JBuilder. Which isn't just a text editor but it makes programming Java a whole lot easier. Lessens time for me.
