Downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express from microsoft.com

I just downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express. Do I need anything else to program? How good is it? Is it just a trial, or can I use it for as long as I want?

Also, I can't seem to find it with a search of my computer. Can you help me?
It appears that it did not finish installation after restarting. D:

EDIT: Okay, problem fixed. I forgot that you had to log in under an admin account. I have it installed now. It works.

I'd recommend Visual Studio 2010 Professional. It's a little more bulky, but it's free to students, and comes with an extensions called Resharper (not sure if that comes with Visual Studio express as well) which is a neat little tool that allows quick refactoring and code assistance which can same a very large amount of time with coding, as well as a whole host of other features.

You also may want to dable in other languages, so why limit yourself?
