detecting a keystroke?

so considering i know nothing about programming, could this be done in vbscript?
would it be like pages of typing or is it simple

vbscript doesn't have the ability to detect keystrokes.
You're going to need to use a full programming language (one of the C's, Java, etc...) that can hook into the stdin stream.

What is vbscript? I know standard Visual Basic can detect keystrokes no problem...
