C++ Function problems

I'm have chossen to learn C++ over the last few days and I have already Incountered a problem. the problem is the functions will not operate correctly. I would apreciate it if someone could help me.

Ps I am using this code to learn to program, after evey tutorial I take I add on to it.

edit: if it helps Im using Dev-C++ 5 beta and Dev-C++ 4 as compilers.
