Yeah i got the SMP working. I am reading some guides on how to get the GPU working properly.

Alright I have tried several guides. Nothing seems to be working. Any ideas on how to get GPU folding going on Ubuntu 11.04? If i could get that going, I would be rocking and not have to leave Ubuntu for a while. SMP folding is simple and rolling. It is just this darn GPU that has got me stumped.

It is just me or does that seem like a big unit for a GPU Client? 2,000,000 steps? My SMP Client only has 500,000 steps.

Cause thats a cpu unit... Not the gpu log

Yeah I realized after actually looking at it that it was a CPU SMP Unit again. I am hoping to get the GPU Client going in another few minutes. Got the latest drivers downloading, got CUDA installed so just have to restart and see if I can get this GPU client working finally. If so my production will be right back up.

UGH. I just dont get it. I have followed every guide. Got the latest drivers, which support CUDA and I still cant get GPU to work. son of a .................

A sort of an aside, but has anyone else had a problem with the a3 client stop working? I've had it do it several times the past few days...

I've had no real issues Trotter. How is it stopping?

K, are you using the older lient or v7? I'm still running the last systray gpu client, our older cards can have issuse with gpu3 stuff.

Trotter, I had a a3 Unit the other day that took much longer than expected. But after that unit it started right back up again with no issue. Could just be a bad WU.

There is no older client for Ubuntu. I have to install Wine and try to get the GPU client working that way. I have tried both the GPU3 and GPU2 stuff but to no avail. It keeps giving my Core c135 errors which they link to an infection. Somehow I doubt that is the case. Considering I have not been to any sites I do not trust and I am not in Windows.

Getting the GPU client working on linux can be a challenge but I used to be pretty good at it. If you post the error you're getting I may be able to help out
