How to set up smp client?

yea it's 1920 points..so basically no matter how many steps the client says it has, they are basically the same size/point value? If that's how it is..i understand it now

Not always... theres a few huge ptrs 3300ish opts, but you'l find smp units are pretty consistant.

lol, just added an smp client to my folding rig.

lets see how the lowly E1200 keeps up.

If not, ill see if i can find any cheap E2180's.

how fast does it take you guys to complete a work unit on the SMP? mine ranges from 100-150 minutes per WU on my 3.0ghz I7...is that good?

Mines 19hrs using linux smp in vmware. So only 2 cores of my quad.

So roughly 9min 50sec / %

If you want serious ppd, run a vmware linux smp. It'll drop your time alot.

For some reason, the dual uni's only got me 50ppd on my T2500, but SMP is grabbing over 500 right now...it would be better if speedstep wasn't stuck...

But yeah, try overclocking that thing.

EDIT: I just checked ebay, there's a few cheap bids, but the lowest Buy It Now is 50 bucks. But than 70 on the egg, though. If you were going to buy it on newegg, I would just get the 5200.
