Ah sucks, laptop had an unsuspected shutdown due to high temp...then when I rebooted, the folding started back from 0 /500 (it was around 350+/500 before the shutdown). So I'll take a while

It's in the configuration. It is called checkpoint frequency. 15 minutes is the default, but you can set it for less. that way, if it does something like this, you lose less of your work.

Prop up the back of your laptop, this will allow airflow under the the board and keep it much cooler.

I fold 16hrs aday on my lappy, and its fine.. saddly the temp sensors stuck, so no idea my temps, but the fans stays low,
