Strength in numbers is where the small ones come in.

Yeah it may only be like 300ppd...but if 100 people fold with that client it turns into 30,000ppd. And theres only so many power users. Plus if one of us runs into an issue (heat, power) we have a big impact on the days total versus just one 300ppd guy losing power.

Just a little bit of a warning if you are doing about 500.000 steps like I am doing, it will probably take until saturday night or noon on sunday for that to complete.
Takes my F@H DOS baseed one 6 days to fold that much.
However if you use F@H gui client it will take 2 or 3 days depending on your cpu and video card.
My GPU client takes 21 hours a day to fold if I don't do any soft or hard reboots.

Just don't overwork your single to cpu as things might get ugly when trying to do any other medium or heavy large tasks.
 
^The DOS and GUI client cores are exactly the same btw. There shouldn't be any speed difference between each on the same wu.

I tested this by running a wu on the cmd line, then transfering the wu to a gui setup, and had exact same ppd.

I run the uni on my laptop, and only runs 12hrs/day and still only 3 days to run one.
