It was 33F last night and it got chilly but the central heat still barely came on. That's all I care about. I wanna keep the ambient high enough without using the central too much. I think if the area was a bit smaller it would keep it nice and warm.

Contributing to Biological research + staying warm + saving money=win.
 
Quit folding. What appeared to be doing something was just the gradual increase and decrease of heat during the day :|
Leaving the folding off or on made no real difference besides during the middle of the day because it feels like spring right now. 60-70 during noon, 20-40 at night for lows.
 
Heh, your texas temps are like the ones in ga right now. :p
Besides that, just do a schedule to let your pc fold at night or in the early morning hours.
I let my cpu and gpu fold from 10pm-7am, if I need my pc all day I dont let it fold not unless the wu is on a strict timeline.

You have 2 good computer components man, just setup a scheduler in windows and let it manage it with custom times and dates.
