like i said
programs open slow, i can live with that....... but

my problem is using windows media player.

which I also gave highest pirority under process setting.

that didnt help either.

i turned off programs in the back ground, under msconfig,
no viruses, cpu show about 20% when running media player
and still it skips with noithing else running.

under virual memory, it is set for win default.

its a cirreo 2ghz P4 512 ram, 10GB used on 80Gb hard drive
all clean up and defraged

but still is having a hard time with window media player, playing mp3 music.

and frankly that sucks.

anhy help out there on this one?

Did you rip the music from a cd? Did you try using a different sound card?

Thats kinda dumb, but try a cd. Also, try other sound cards or maybe a reinstalation of everything.

Have you open Windows Task Manager and checked what processes are running? Think before you snap back with "nothing is running."

Google EVERYTHING that you do not immediately recognize. Sounds like something is tripping everything up.

If it's not that, then you may have some corrupted files.

I think maybe your sound drivers might be currupt or your windows media is currupt.
