Default XFire +1 dual monitor setup question..

I like to have a second monitor open during gaming so I can keep an eye on what my rig's systems are doing and temperatures and what not..

I'm thinking of picking up another 4870 1G for a X-Fire setup.. And I have an old X1650 card I can use for the second monitor.

How would I set up the second monitor? Just go thru the normal steps for extending the desktop?

oh, for Vista Ult 64b.
