I have not run memtest yet either. I cant seen to figure out how to start testing the memory.

update:

I ran prime95 on both cores for 11 hrs 30 min with no errors or warinings.

I am wondering why the graphics are very twitchy when running 3DMark06 and not while playing games??

If I try and increase the clock speed and higher than 233 windows will no longer boot. Is 2.8 GHz my limit??

these are the current settings

LTD = 4X
Ram = 183MHz
Vcore = 1.54V
Vdimm = 2.70
MEM Speed = 200MHz
CPU Speed = 2.8GHz
FSB = 233MHz

I will try and get memtest86 to work

I ran memtest86 and it haulted with an unexpected interrupt. I had to reset my computer.

Why did memtest fail and not prime95??

At this point does this mean I am having trouble with my memory??

The stock memory timeings are 2-3-2-6-1T. The following are the current settings in the BIOS. I will try increasing the voltage first before messing with the timeings.

CAS Latency (TCL) = 2
RAS/CAS Delay (Trcd) = 3
Min Active Ras (TRAS) = 6
Row Precharge (Trp) = 2
RAS/RAS delay = 2
Row Cycle (Trc) = 9
Row Refresh Cycle (Trfc) = 16
Read/Write Delay (Trwt) = 3
Memory timing = 1T

not to steal your thread or anything but how long shoudl u run memtest86. i ran it until the bar got to 100%, it took about an hour and then it jsut started over again. but i got no errors for that hour.

I set everything back to normal and ran memtest86 and it still fails at test six with the unexpected interrupt.

has anyone else with corsair XMS3500LL pro DDR experience the same thing??

At this point shall I say **** with the mem test the system ran stable with prime95 for over 11 hours???

When I set the LTD to 4X, what should I set the LTD linkwidth to??
