okay, if i ran 3 gb's is it possible for it to still be dual channel.... being 2x512 and 2x1024??? would all that still be dual channel???? i'm curious.. cuz if so, then i should get me another 2 gigs

if the 512"s were of the same type and if the 1024 were of the same type too. just make sure that they are in the correct slots. and what version of windos u runnin? xp pro (32bit) only runs good under 2.5GB. xp 64bit can take more ram.

Yeah it does. That's exactly how i have mine set up. And believe me at 3gb windows FLYS. You wont regret it.

alright cool, sounds good to me.. and yes, it would all be the same ddr2 800 corsair xms2.. and who says windows can't do 3 well????

Windows XP Pro 32-bit has an upper limit of 4GB.

Windows XP Pro 64-bit has an upper limit of 128GB.
