Default worth overclocking semi old laptop

1 ghz, 256mb ram, windows 2000. Is it worth it to try to overclock it.

no. It's never worth overclocking a laptop. They overheat too easy.

only if it has the right CPU for it (for example a Pentium M), and maybe only by up to a couple of hundred MHZ at most
