ok when i type msconfig in run box and go to start up tab ive un-clicked nearly everything as you do but realsched keeps ticking its self everytime i shutdown and re-start?

Obviously its something that needs to be there but i swear ive heard people say un-tick this one:confused:

P.s what is realsched anyway?

I dont know what it is, but i've ended it before and nothing bad ever happened.

anyways on my Pc it only takes up 200kb of my RAM so it dosent really matter to me.

Oh right so its probably the same on mine then.

Ill just leave it since it insists on being ticked and its not taking up much memory

Process File: realsched or realsched.exe
Process Name: RealNetworks Scheduler

Description:
realsched.exe is a program which schedules for manual update checks for Real Networks products. This is a non-essential process. Disabling or enabling this is down to user preference however disabling may prevent notification of updates.
