Default What's The Diference Between DDR and GDDR3?

Sinse this is my first build, i was chosing a good Video card, and i realized that there are a couple of video cards that are GDDR3 and others are DDR menory compatible i guess...
What's The Diference Between DDR and GDDR3?

is this combination going to work?

Its not that they are DDR or GDDR3 "compatable", its that they use those kinds of memory. GDDR3 is a **** load faster. DDR is usually at about 300MHz to 500MHz, while GDDR3 can get up past 1.8GHz.
