Default What video in device would you use???

If you were to build your own computer what would you use for a video capture device? Would you use an ati all in wonder card or a just a good card and then get a good pci capture device? What is the BEST?

I remember seeing an MSI TV tuner card that even had FM radio and crap built into it, for like $80, but I honestly couldn't tell you what 'the best' is

What is the point of recording in HD if the material that you are recording is not HD, if you did use the HDTV capture card you would not see a difference in quality.

Real Hardware encoders. better picture and encoding times. very little cpu usage. these would produce the same great result on a 100 mhz computer. they are expensive but not on ebay. Osprey, Opticast and Canopus make some of the better ones
