what are some of the best possible fans you can use to cool your system?

I Like the Vantec "stealth" type. They're quiet and they do the job.

Enermax with fan speed controls to the tune of a 120 mm front and 120 mm rear

As far as actual air being moved, nothing beats a 92mm Vantec Tornado. 115 CFM.

I guess if you do want the best cooling fan get a 120mm. They can be semi-quiet and and blow a good amount of air. Trust me, you will want a quiet fan.

tornado is great but definitely loud. if you ork in a quiet environment not a good idea.

Thats were the Speed adjustment is a plus .Actually i had a case with 2 80 mm fans in the rear and a 80mm in front .The 2- 120 mm Enermax fans are quiter but move 4 times the air volume .Crank it up or down to meet your needs .Of course your case has to accomidate them. I bought the Antec P120 case because of the 120 mm fan bays.

what can i use to control my fans, like to set them so some blow in, some suck out, etc..

It depends if they come with fan controllers or not. If they don't then you can't control them.
