I have pretty much figured out the rest of the build, now alls I need is a nudge in the right direction. I cant decide on it. So I come in search of answers, if you were building a gaming pc what would you choose for memory(I dont want to buy VALUE ram again) So what is your vote of the best ram?

Thanks
Dave

>=1024 mb Ram (1G), for a top gaming comp. The more RAM you have; the fater your processor will take whenrunning applications your comp can rum simutainisly.

Thanks guys, I was planning on getting 2x512 sticks. Just having problems deciding on what BRAND to get???

Dave

If you arent going to overclock, then brand doesnt really matter too much.

Something nice and cheap like this will be good.

If you are going to OC, then thats a whole other story.

Yeah I tried to overclock my Value ram last time and did not like the results. So if you have a type that is better for OC please let me know. I have been looking at the mushkin Redline and some of the corsair XMS or the OCZ platinum rev 2

It's their between G. Skill LA's or OCZ Rev 2's for a gaming PC :)

And you want TCCD based ram like that, as your motherboard cannot give out much voltage at all.

This is the MB I am using----

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard

So would those work on that?

Dave

look for twinmos on newegg

a gig of those go for like $86 (a huge steal, they run out of stock very frequently)

they use winbond UnTesTed chips that are seen in many, much more expensive ram
