What have you used?

Today I couldn't find any electrical tape, this has happened to me many times and I have been forced to use some Mr. Wizard approaches to solving my problem. The question:
What crazy things have you used in place of electrical tape?

I will start off with two.
I have used dental wax, the stuff you put on braces when they hurt your cheeks. I have also melted Cat5 cable sleeving over exposed wires.

Top that!

Heatshrink or hot glue. Neither crazy, but both great alternatives.

Still, I've usually got several hundred rolls of insulation tape kicking about...
