What did I screw up?

I just finished a build and had XP loaded and operating when I had a boo-boo. I had the power disconnected to my second HD, and when I moved some of the power cables to look at the mobo while the computer was operating a power plug touched metal on my second HD and the computer immediately shut down. Now the thing wont do anything!!!

I disconnected the power to the video card and couldnt get the computer to beep... same thing when I pulled the memory.

What did I do?

I did the same thing once and fried EVERYTHING,so you might have just screwed your self all i can say is see if you can test the stuff in another comp.

Man, that is not at all comforting! The memory, too?

It could have fried everything you have,the only thing's that were still good were my hard drive's,so ya it don't sound to good for ya.

Well, the power supply still works so it wont be a complete loss! That's going to be an expensive lesson.

I will test the video card in this machine I am using now and see if it is fried or not. The HD's both spin up when there is power to them....

Just try and test everything you can,if you can't test something maybe a local computer store can do it for you.

Well, I can't test any more .... I killed me to do it, but I ordered new parts a bit ago.

Well atleast you know to check everything before you boot up now it's a costly mistake that you don't want to do again.
