what are consider high tempiture for x800 pro

I have an x800 pro and Ive been using atitool to overclock it and i have so far gotten its gpu from 475 to 500mhz and its ram speed from 450 to 485mhz what is considered to hot for a graphics card. and how should i overclock to. I can override the fan control but will that damage my graphics card it i put it at 100% all the time right now its on 40% at tempetures over 0 degress celcius.

My X800 Pro gets up to 80*C when playing Doom 3. I overclock to 525/525 when doing my benchmarks and its fine. However, I wouldn't suggest going that high for just gameplay.

I believe they can go up to like 90-100C with no problems. Beedubs card hits 80C regularly I believe he said so I think up to 80C is fairly normal for those powerful cards on full load.

Yeah, and the ATIs run hotter than their Nvidia counterparts.

I was reading a few OC reviews for the X800 XT Platinum, and they had high temps. Around 90 degrees celcius. Im not going to push mine over 85 degrees celcius.

ATI Tool is meant for ATI based cards. Nvidia has an overclocker as well, but I forget what its called.
