It doesn't say anywhere on it (that I can see), and I think I have mine backwards.

If I wanted it to blow out of my exhaust fan on the rear, which side would the fan be on, left or right?

In other words, does the fan blow air through the hole or suck it through the hole?

blows out through the hole. so the fan on the heat sink should be farther away from the back. I hope you understand that.

yes, the fan blows air through the hole, so in other words, the fan should be on the right if the exhaust fan is on the left. and if ur having trouble installing it, check out the install video from their site.

Left and right are arbitrarily defined directions, relative to the observer or object.
Which way is left?

Anyway, generally you can tell the direction of the airflow by looking at the curve of the fan blades:

*edit*
an alternate way to tell for case fans, is by looking at which side has the arms going to the motor

The air comes out the side which has the arms (top), and gets sucked in the side that has no arms (bottom)

Yeah I know on a regular fan, but I couldn't tell.

And yes, I mounted it backwards. :s
