Wait wait! I want to OC too!

I think its time I learn how this whole fad works.
I have an Intel E8400 (great OCer I hear) and I'd like to see if I can crank it to 3.5Ghz.
Can you guys school me on this? Just tell what info you'll need, and how to win.
I'm all ears n' eyes.:freak:

EDIT:
I increased the bus speed to 360 multiplier 9, so 3.2Ghz, but in bios my ram said its at 667 instead of 1066....I also got a blue screen after initial change, but then a normal boot up.
