Volt Modding Pros/Cons

I recently purchased the AsRock Dual-Sata2 motherboard and soon found out it can easily be volt modded, is there anyway of doing this without voiding the warrenty? Will it kill my processor? Or will it cause damage to my mobo? I have read other posts and seen that it works for them but they are also using a custom bios, i have tried this bios and found out quickly that i dont like it.

I get a error in a benchmarking program (Stress Prime 2004) when im oc'ed to 2.73ghz and up, will this error disappear if i go about doing this
