Default Video card compatibility

I wanted to know if this card would be compatible with directX9.0c. My brother just got the sims 2 and he cant play it on his computer because when he tries to open the game it says that his videocard isnt compatible with directX9.0c. I tried upgrading the drivers on the existing graphics controller but no go. He doesnt have an AGP slot so PCI will have to do. I was also wondering if you think this card would be good for the sims 2.

thanks in advance.

if you updated the drivers from nvidias site when u get that card i fine no reason to think why it wouldn't support dx9.0c

It will work with direct 9x but you won't have all those nice effects. It is limited to dx 7. Here is a link to the sims 2 requirements.
