Video Card

Which video card should i get for my computer?
I currently have a NVidia FX5700LE.
I dont want to spend more than 300 dollars.

My previous card was an ATi (9600 Pro) and I liked it better than the current NVidia.

What card should I get?

you prolly dont like the Nvidia cause that card you have isnt all tht great. i would recomend getting a 6600 or 6600GT from Evga.

my local computer shop said they could get me a radeon 9800XT for 280 or something like that. That any good?

Oh yea, i forgot to add that i want the card to be 256 MB's.

there isnt really much diff between 256 and 128. i guess you could say that its cool to say you have a 256mb card but todays games dont really use the extra 128mb. you would still prolly get better performance out of the 6600GT. Anybody else say otherwise?

Well judging by the fact that it is imperative to him that he MUST have 256mb'sw, I would say fork over the extra dough and gett eh 6800GT.

Allthough, that card you have from ATI should be handling fine, I would not upgrade right now with that. But either way - its your decision, good luck.

errrg, i dont want to spend 400 dollars on a video card, when you can buy a computer for that much!
