which vid card

im relatively new to the whole "build-your-own" computer concept; i helped a couple of friends build their own before . . .

anyways, im kinda debating whether to get a nVidia or ATI graphics cards; my budget is about $150, but if theres a card that will dramatically increase performance, i dont mind paying 200;

any ideas?

Get an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Its in your price range, and should get you through the next year or two of games without any real trouble.

for that much money get the ATI, they owned nvidia in the 9000 vs. the FX series
