Default very hot laptop...or maybe not

ive got a "gaming" laptop w/ 3 ghz p4 ht, 512 mb ram, ati mobility radeon 9600. It has always been hot. I downloaded speedfan and it says HD0= 39C and Temp1=75C. This does not sound good to me, but i honestly dont know. Could anyone tell me how bad this is?

Mine goes even farther, 80 C. download SpeedFan, and max out the fan settings.

It's a laptop, they get really really hot. I think they are built to operate just inside the temperature damage threshold. Mine gets super hot, and the exhaust on the side sometimes gets too hot to touch! But i dont fret, neither should you.
