Default using laptop drive for pc

hi, how can i mod a slot loading laptop drive os i can use it with a desktop motherboard, im making a case and i want it to have a slot loading drive, and ive got an old laptop one lying around. any ideas?

Don't they make hotswap drives for pc's that accept 2.5in laptop drives?

thanks, i meant a cd drive....but i found a you can just get an adapter to make the whole thing easier Maplin > Slimline CD to Desktop IDE Adaptor (Slimline CD to IDE)

new question tho, is there much of a perfomance differnce between a standard lappy dvd drive, and basic desktop dvd drive, i ask cos my other option is to get a cheapo slot loading desktop drive off ebay?

Well it depends on the individual drive for wat performance it has. if it can from a relatively new laptop then it wont be a poor performer.
