Post Use HDMI port as displayport

Hello, people.

I am thinking of modding the low-level drivers of the HDMI controller to allow it to transfer as good as Displayport does.

I am looking up the pins in Wikipedia. They say HDMI has 19 pins and Displayport has 20 pins. I think we are able to ditch one of those pins labeled "Ground" and apply the pins usage.

The result would be HDMI having the same image streaming ability as Displayport, supporting 8K displays at 60 Hz.

To support this, I'll also have to edit the driver inside the monitor... Seems like a lot of work.

Any ideas?
