I am travelling in US and would like to take advantage of cheaper PC components. Will a HDD purchased in US suit a PC built in the UK? Same for DVD writer?

I don't think computer parts care where they are from or where they are going. So, Yes, the hard drive and DVD burner should work in your PC.

This is only my opinion, there is a possibility that i'm wrong.

Re:

Hello,

No no...you're completely correct. Computer components don't have a system similar to PAL or NTSC, they are all one-for-all...

...but of course you'll have to make sure that specific components are compatible with your computer system first, as per usual :D .

The only thing different besides PAL and NTSC is the volatage but that is on your power supply.

...huh..? :freak: ...

...PAL and NTSC are technologies in video transmission.

Power Supplies alter in voltages, frequencies and form factor.

Go for it.

If they won't work with your system, there's always eBay.
