Question Unstable??

Ok what exactly is unstable?

Is it when your computer restarts by itself?

Is it when you get a blue screen error?

Is it when your computer Freezes?

Right now my computer only restarts I don't know if it is a protection thing or unstable thing.

Thanks

freezes and BSOD's and lock ups.

I recommend clearing your CMOS as everything will go back to defualt and you can start over.

unstable can mean failing in prime95 and spuerpi also....

but blue screens are what you prevent with those tests

Then it's unstable. Anything abnormal, which includes: BSOD's, random restarts, freezing, temporary lock-ups is considered unstable.

OCCT, Prime 95, SuperPI, and memtest86 are all programs you can use to test stability.

Memtest86 you can use to tell if your RAM is bad, and the others tell you if your OC is unstable.

You may need to use a DMM to test PSU Stability.
