Question unlocking the pny 6800,s extra pipes and shaders

ok what are the chances of unlocking the pny 6800 to 16 pipes and it working correctly? because if u read alot of reviews on newegg, theres abunch of people, unlocking the pipes and it artifacts. so i guess its luck right? or is it just with the oem 6800,s ? since they have been refurbished and all.. and do you guys kno wat memory they use in the 6800? because im hearing some guys can bring there memory to 900mhz from 700mhz! right out of the box, oh and they can get there core to 400mhz with stock cooling! thats tied up with the ultra!... lol its bandwidth would proubly be around 26 gig a second. then that card would deffinetly be screaming!! accept the ultra is gettin 34 but.

You need to download rivatuner from www.guru3d.com and try it for your self. If it doesn't work (get artifacts) just turn it back to 12.

I have seen people get their 6800's core to gt speeds, and if they have the one with 256mb GDDR3 memory, get that to gt/ultra speeds. They will probally of got better cooling, like the artic cooling cooler.
