My laptop's consuming battery if like there's no tomorrow, so I need help to underclok the processor (and memory if needed).
Problem is that BIOS won't even let me touch the processor and I need someone to tell me if it can even be UC'd and how to do it.
Here are the specs:

Im not sure on this but i've heard will that down clocking will do more harm than to your computer then its worth to just downclock it. Chances are the bios wont let you touch it so you either have to buy a better battery or sitck with the battery life you have now.

since it's a laptop you should have power settings somewhere...maybe in control panel. it should allow you to specify settings for when the laptop is on battery power. usually you can tell it when to shut off hdd, turn off monitor, and usually scale back processor speed.
