trust bios or core temp

umm hello i currently have my core 2 duo e6600 overclocked to 3.4ghz and i am worried about the temps. core temp is reporting that my idle temp is around 30c and load is 55c. but the bios is reporting 10c higher than core temp which one should i trust???????

also this cpu has a thermaltake big typhoon 120vx on it

Neither, The CMOS temps should be lower than in window idle temps. And since that is not the case, something is wrong.
Go pick up a Tempature probe.. Thats most the accurate.

Yes, but I have never, and I MEAN NEVER seen a CMOS temp read out state tempartures are higher than idle temps within windows.

me neither. But my p5b read -25c once which didn't make a damned bit of sense.

To OP, try updating to the latest BIOS.
