"Top Performance" mode in BIOS

Ok, so I just built a new system:

AMD A64 3500+ (Venice)
Corsair 2x512 PC3200
Gigabyte K8NSC-939 mobo
Seagate 120GB SATA HD

In the BIOS, there is an option called "Top Performance". I am wondering if this is safe to turn on with stock cooling. Also, for certain applications, I do enjoy a perfectly stable system. Would loading the top performance still give stable conditions???

You will have to try it to find out. Its not usually recomended however because it doesn't work very well. All it does is max everything out and thats not usaully stable. It shouldn't kill anything meaning if you try it and it fails just reboot your computer. It probably wont damage anything though(maybe). You may have to clear CMOS before you can preceed.

If you want to OC anything do it manualy under BIOS always the best way to increase your performance. Don't use software or preconfigured settings in BIOS(i.e. "Top Performance").
