Default Things needed to get into case modding

I was looking to start a project since I have a little extra money coming in and I decided I wanted to work on my own custom case. Since the money and timeframe are there all im wondering is what tools will I need to do this.

I want to build it from scratch basically and I've never taken any shop classes in highschool or after. Basically im asking what tools will I need to cut the metal and so forth. Also any tips are appreciated
