Are these Vid Card OC results comparable?

I ran ATITool on my EVGA 8600GT. Stock core/memory speeds are 540MHz/700MHz.

I ran Find Max Core and began to see artifacts at about 700MHz. I slowly backed it down to 695 and did not see any for about 3 minutes.

I ran Find Max Memory and began to see artifacts at about 830 MHz. I slowly backed it down to 822 and did not see any for about 5 minutes.

My results on OCing this video card are:

Core: 695 MHz
Mem: 822 MHz
Idle Temp: 53*c
Load Temp: 74*c

Are these speeds comparable for this card? How about the temperatures?

OK, so now I am finding choppy graphics develop in the online game I play. I checked ATITool and found the 3D view cube is choppy too. This happens at both oc and stock speeds. I have to reboot to get smooth graphics again. My card runs at about 71*c load at stock speeds. Do I have a bad card?

You should not have a bad card. Restart and bump your oc down a bit.

71C load seems really high.

That's not high at all. OK, well that is sort of, but it's nothing to worry about, as they can tolerate very high temperatures.
