Default Thermal Readings

I just purchased a front device that allows me to read various temperatures throughout my PC. How should I install these? Do I place them behind the GPU or on top of it? Next the CPU or on top of it?

Beside them under the heatsink but not between the part and heatsink or there will be a big raise in temps

place one under the heatsink of the cpu next to it. place one on your gpu next to it. or on the other side of it right where it is. place one on your hdd if you like to. and one for overall temp case

never put anything on top of it except thermal patse and the fan
