Thermal Paste

I have an artic cooling freezer pro and mx-2 paste. The freezer pro already has a paste on it. Should I keep that paste or put some of my MX-2 instead. Also do i put paste onto my q6600 as well?

The paste on that heatsink is MX-2 anyways, or something close to it. Don't clean it off, keep it on.

The HSF has MX-2 pre-applied.

No. The paste is already on the HSF. When you put it on, the paste will spread and fill the space between the CPU and HSF.

It's a great cooler, especially for such a low price. I idle at 23-25, and around 42 load.

I made the mistake of buying as5, since i used the mx2 that came on it and its fine.

Mistake lol , its just thermal paste, they pretty much work the same. Difference are 3c-2c in temps.

I actually bought some mx-2 with my last newegg order just to test it out. Running low on my as5 so i figured i'd give the mx-2 a try and see if theres any real world difference.
