Default test my new i7 machine

Hey guys,

what are some good benchmark programs to test out my i7?

I would like to make sure that my ram, cpu and other devices are working how they should.

Let's see, before I get into another full day of playing Fable: The Lost Chapters, prime95 is a good cpu stress test Prime95 (32bit) - 25.8 Download - EXTREME Overclocking , and the same goes for Linx LinX - A simple Linpack interface - XtremeSystems Forums. As for benchmarks, and a good indication of speed relative to the model, I use superPI with mod. The SuperPI 1M thread is here http://www.techist.com/forums/f10/te...p-list-169586/ . There are others, if you'd like to search for them, but those will tell you if your temps are normal, and where your performance is with regards to everyone else. I would say the Windows 7 Experience Index is a good indication, but it's built to different standards than just a standard benchmark. It's a good rough indication though.
